Rucking Pace Benchmark
Pace charts give ranges. This page collects real results. Add one finished ruck, with the load you carried and the ground you covered, and we publish the spread of paces for each load and terrain once a group reaches 30 results. The more people add, the sharper the numbers get.

Pace percentiles by load, terrain and carry
Lower is faster. P25 is the pace a quarter of results beat, the median splits the group in half, and P90 is the pace 90% of results were at or faster than. Each group shows only its count until it reaches 30 results.

Method
How the benchmark works
- Self-reported and opt-in. Every number comes from someone who chose to add a ruck. That makes it a picture of people who track their rucks and care to share them, not a random sample of all ruckers. Read the percentiles with that in mind.
- Pace is finish time divided by distance. We use the time you enter, so stops count if you included them. Pace is stored per kilometer and shown per mile and per kilometer.
- Implausible entries are excluded. We reject paces faster than 4:00 per km (6:26 per mile) or slower than 25:00 per km (40:14 per mile), distances outside 1 to 100 km, loads over 60 kg, and times under 5 minutes or over 24 hours. We also remove entries we flag as spam or tests.
- A group needs 30 results before it shows percentiles. Below that, a single unusual ruck moves the median too far to be useful, so we show the count instead.
- Load bands split on kilograms: under 9 kg (under 20 lb), 9 to 14 kg (20 to 30 lb), 14 to 20 kg (30 to 44 lb), 20 kg and up (44 lb and up). A load exactly on an edge counts in the heavier band.
- Percentiles use linear interpolation between the two nearest results, the same method as a spreadsheet PERCENTILE.INC. The tables refresh every hour.
- What we keep. The ruck details you enter, the unit system you typed in, and a one-way hash of your network address so we can spot floods of fake entries. No name, no email, no account.
